What We Fund
Foundation Grants
The Delta Dental of Arizona Foundation (DDAZF) Grant Program supports projects and services promoting good oral health practices, increasing access to dental care, nutrition programs, food banks and pantries.
It is the intention that this funding will:
- Encourage and advance the integration of oral health and overall health.
- Increase access to oral health services to underserved communities.
- Promote collaboration across a wide range of health providers in Arizona.
- Increase use of proven approaches into greater and more widespread practice.
- Increase food security.
- Improve nutritional quality of available food.
- Increase nutrition awareness.
- Programs that demonstrate operational and financial stability
- Organizations that report measurable, meaningful outcomes
- Active collaboration (when appropriate) among organizations, schools, and dental and/or healthcare providers
- Inclusion of diverse groups
- Referral protocols that link individuals needing dental care with a source of dental care
- Initiation of dental sealant programs into existing oral health programs, particularly in counties where none exist
- Previously funded organizations that have submitted complete and timely Interim and Final Reports
What We Don't Fund
- Individuals
- Sponsorship or attendance at conferences
- Religious activities
- Reduction of organizational debt
- Direct lobbying or influencing of elections
- Duplication of existing services
- Fundraising campaigns and expenses
